Syl DeFrancesco is a seasoned financial leader with over 15 years of experience advising real estate investment firms, private funds, and growing businesses. He has served as Chief Financial Officer for a national real estate platform, where he led capital strategy, financial operations, and investor communications for a multi-residential portfolio exceeding $1 billion in assets under management.

His previous roles span executive finance leadership across high-rise development, residential REITs, and U.S. multifamily portfolios. Syl has overseen the financial reporting, structuring, and capital deployment for portfolios totaling tens of thousands of units and has successfully supported fund launches, capital raises, and institutional partnerships.

A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Honours Business Administration program, Syl combines technical precision with a strategic mindset.
